Anniversary Weekend
Great place to stay, Helen coul not do enough for us, the breakfast was lovely too, the rooms were all differnt and really clean.Chester is only a short walk too. i would recommend this guest house to any one.

Recommended
We had a very pleasant stay at this B+B. It was about 20 -30 minutes walk from the city centre, which was what we expected. The initial impression of the lobby was that they were in the process of having some renovations done, but once you got past that the room was absolutely fine, quiet, clean, tidy and warm and nicely decorated. The ladies were very helpful and friendly, and provided a very nice breakfast. Can recommend the local Shanghai Restaurant for an evening chineese meal. Our view is you dont book a B+B and then criticise it for not being a five star hotel, we enjoyed our stay at the Chester House, it was up to the standard we would expect and we would recommend it

Xmas shopping
We booked our stay at Chester House to do our christmas shopping. It's within strolling distance of the City and very handy for the community minded area of Hoole, which has great eateries and local food shops. Staff at Chester house were very friendly and helpful. Our room was cosy and its facilities were good. The full english breakfast was excellent. Would certainly recommend Chester House and we hope to return for next year's shopping trip.

Short stay for shopping
This is my third visit to Chester House and each time my friends and I found it friendly with a warm welcome. Breakfast was excellent and good value for money. We will certainly stay again when next visiting Chester. Thanks again for your wonderful hospitality.

Lovely stay at Chester House
Had a lovely weekend break here, the team couldn't have been more obliging. Our room was spotlessly clean and when we had a slight problem with our shower it was dealt with straight away. Breakfast was lovely, well cooked and plenty even for those with a hearty appetite. Only little niggle was that it was further out of Chester than the ten minute walk specified on Booking.com. All that being said, there was a bus service which ran regularly from just around the corner. We were also recomended a lovely little restaurant - The Faulkner - just five minute walk away with excellent food and a fantastic atmosphere. Will definitely use again, thank you.

Late Oct in Chester
This is a very well placed guest house being just a short walk (approx 20 Mins) from Chester centre. The staff were really friendly, helpful and knowledgable about the area - even providing a city map on our arrival. There was plenty of breakfast options and they were all freshly cooked. Home made muesli and the home made marmalade (which was lush) was a really nice touch. The rooms were really clean and well presented.
My only critisism would be that the shower was a fair bit underpowered - that said, If I need to stay in Chester again then this wouldn't put me off.

Chester House
me, my mum, mother in law and my daughter spent the night in the family room at Chester house. The room was a really good size for the four of us, with a nice bathroom. The staff were helpful and friendly, I will definitely recommend and hope to return myself.

A very pleasant stay
Our stay at Chester House Guest House was made a very pleasant on by the efforts of the staff to meet our needs in a warm and friendly manner. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, although storage was limited and not enough for a weeks stay. The breakfast was very good, especially the bacon, and home-made marmalade a bonus.
A very pleasant stay I would recccommend to anybody.

Great Place to Stay
We were on a 19 day self drive tour of UK and have stayed exclusively in B&Bs throughout. We can certainly recommend Chester House as anh ideal place to stay. Great welcome, good information on local eating and sightseeing, very clean rooms and wonderful breakfast.

One of the best!!

realy enjoyed our stay,a well positioned house about 15 mins walk into town, theres a bus stop across the road to.Hoole town where its situated is loverly to, lots of nice shops and a few bars to.we were made very welcome,the room was very good,great shower, and had a fab breakfast in the morning, will definatley return,

I cannot praise this Guest House enough, really nice room, great breakfast, free wifi and friendly helpful staff. They even sorted our Zoo tickets for us. We stayed 2 nights and would be happy to stay there again if we are ever in the area again

2 Night Stay

Nice little guest house
Friendly helpful staff. Particularly liked the character of the entrance hall and stairs. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast excellent, with a good selection of cereals on offer, our three year old daughter pleased there were Cheerios- her fav. Promptly served by helpful staff.

A Lovely Stay
We stayed in a family room, 2 adults and 1 child and it was perfect. The room was very clean, tidy and we had plenty of space.
We had a lovely breakfast and Helen was really helpful with regards to Chester and places of interest - we even got discount tickets for the zoo ! We will definately stay again. Can't fault anything about our stay.

One night stay
Very pleasant staff on arrival and during my stay. Room was modern and very well maintained (as was the rest of the house)with a good size en-suite. Lovely soft towels and nice crisp sheets. It was nice to have a tv with satalite channels as after a hard day at work I didn't have to go out looking for entertainment. Approx 20 minute walk into Chester. Nice breakfast with plenty of choice (although I did miss my grapefruit). Would stay there again should I be in the area again.

a pleasant stay
although we (two couples) stayed for a single night only, we enjoyed our clean rooms and bathrooms. the staff were very friendly and we had a great breakfast. the walk into town was a bit long (for our old bones), but luckily there was a taxi that took us back to chester house. we will definitely recommend you!

First time visitor
First time staying at Chester House and had the warmest welcome! Helen ( the proprietor) was always on hand to sort little things out if needed and is most accommodating with any issues raised! The full English breakfast is one of the best i have had in any type of establishment! Thoroughly recommended to all!!!
